Arlington Alert is an alert system that allows the County to contact you during an emergency by sending text messages to your:
- e-mail account (work, home, other)
- cell phone
- text pager, BlackBerry
When an emergency occurs, the County will instantly notify you with updates, instructions on where to go, what to do, or what not to do, who to contact and other important information.
Arlington Alert is a free County service. However, your carrier may charge you a fee to receive messages on wireless device(s). Please read the FAQs for more information. This service does not replace existing public safety warning methods also used by the County.
Arlington Alert is open to all County residents, commuters, and visitors.

El Sistema de Alerta de Arlington usa la Red de Alerta para contactarse inmediatamente con usted durante una crisis importante o durante una emergencia. Este sistema le envia alertas, notificaciones y actualizaciones importantes a todos sus aparatos y cuentas de correo electronico:
- cuenta de correo electronico (trabajo, casa, otro)
- telefono celular
- pager/biper, BlackBerry
- PDA (Palm, iPAQ, etc...)
- XM Satellite Radio
Cuando ocurra un incidente o una emergencia, personal autorizado de Manejo de Emergencias del Condado de Arlington le notificara rapidamente usando el Sistema Comunitario de Alerta.
Este sistema es para uso de residentes de Arlington y de personas que trabajan en el Condado de Arlington. La inscripcion al servicio es gratis.
Nota: Este servicio no reemplaza metodos de aviso de seguridad publica ya existentes y que el Condado usa.
